Project Description:

The project aims to promote the prevention of environmental pollution and the protection of natural values, with a special focus on protected species of fauna and flora. Particular attention is given to the younger generations, who form the indirect target group. The direct target group includes NGO activists participating in training and workshops to acquire expertise and pass it on to young people. The project has two main outcomes: strengthening environmental expertise and increasing environmental awareness among youth in the border region. Activities include joint Hungarian–Serbian camps, awareness-raising events, and educational programs. The project is expected to have significant social and educational impact, encouraging cross-border cooperation, cultural exchange, and friendship among young people from both countries.

(Expected) Results:

The project is expected to deliver meaningful results in both educational and social dimensions, with a long-term cross-border impact.
Key results include:

  • Strengthened environmental expertise -
A core group of trained NGO activists from both Hungary and Serbia will be equipped with professional environmental knowledge and communication skills. These individuals will act as multipliers, transferring knowledge to children and young people through various educational activities.
  • Increased environmental awareness among youth -
Through interactive awareness-raising events, cross-border nature camps, and educational programs, children and young people will gain practical knowledge about pollution, biodiversity, and sustainable behavior. These activities aim to shape environmental attitudes from an early age.
  • Enhanced cross-border cooperation -
By involving mixed groups in all main activities—training, camps, and events—the project fosters dialogue, mutual understanding, and friendship between Hungarian and Serbian participants.
  • Development of educational tools and materials -
Jointly created educational content will be used across both countries, ensuring continuity and shared values in environmental education.

These results will contribute to the long-term goal of building a more environmentally conscious and cooperative border region.
