Project Description:

ENAG is a forward-looking project focused on enhancing entrepreneurship education for women in rural areas of the Hungarian-Serbian border region. Its core objective is to strengthen connections among key agribusiness stakeholders by developing a one-stop shop digital platform that will host training materials, industry resources, and mentorship opportunities.

The project is built around four main outcomes:

  1. Mapping training needs and designing a tailored learning approach
  2. Developing relevant learning resources
  3. Launching the digital platform
  4. Facilitating the transfer of practical knowledge

A hybrid learning model—combining on-site practical training with digital modules—will ensure accessible and flexible learning. Two interactive bootcamps will be organized on both sides of the border, offering hands-on learning in agriculture and entrepreneurship. Study visits will showcase successful practices from the cross-border region and foster experience-sharing.

Upon completing the training, participants will enter a mentoring program that matches them with experts based on their interests and professional goals. Local stakeholder group meetings will serve as networking hubs and support collaboration among community actors.

Activities will be implemented over 18 months in Bács-Kiskun and Csongrád-Csanád Counties (Hungary) and the Bačka region (Serbia), led by Union of Hungarian Women Association, with close cooperation of the Serbian partner, „Foodscale Hub“.

The primary target group is young women aged 15–29 from the NEET category, while the secondary group includes female agribusiness entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses and income. ENAG promotes cross-border cooperation, multilingualism, inclusiveness, and gender equality, aiming to empower women with the skills to innovate, boost employability, and contribute to the sustainable development of rural communities.

(Expected) Results:

  • A cross-border digital platform developed as a one-stop shop for agribusiness education, mentorship, and resources.
  • All learning materials (curricula, training modules) uploaded and available for public use after the project ends.
  • Hybrid learning model implemented:
    • On-site bootcamps held in Hungary and Serbia.
