Border regions peer exchange on solving border obstacles

Latest News

New Call for Visitors launched to join peer exchanges on solutions to cross-border obstacles. Application deadline: 07 September 2026 | 17.00 CEST

This is an open call for visitors, Interreg stakeholders:
This initiative seeks for 100 visitors from organisations involved in Interreg A programmes to participate in 10 peer exchange visits.

What is the border regions peer exchange?
This is a European Commission initiative (DG REGIO), implemented by Fundación CEER (FCEER), that
connects Interreg A programme stakeholders with b-solutions cases addressing similar cross-border
obstacles.

The concept
10 b-solutions case hosts will each organise a 2-day visit for Interreg A programme stakeholders. Visitors come from programmes dealing with comparable border obstacles and learn directly from implemented solutions in the field.

The objective
To demonstrate the tangible impact of cross-border cooperation by showcasing success stories with real benefits, and to strengthen the link between b-solutions and Interreg's A specific objective of better cooperation governance.

Who participates
Each visit involves up to 5 financially supported visitors — plus up to 5 non-supported visitors — from Interreg A programmes and a host organisation (b-solutions case).

The outcome
A final publication — co-authored from all 10 host reports — will analyse synergies between b-solutions and Interreg A and serve as a practical guide for other cross-border cooperation programmes across Europe.

Application deadline: 07 September 2026 | 17.00 CEST
