This project packed with workshops, a 2-day expert meetings, a conference and a study-trip, deals with exchange of experiences in working with disadvantaged and Roma children through after-school programs.

This 18-month project aims to establish an expert network between after-school programs for disadvantaged and Roma students in Kanjiža and Szeged, providing targeted support and opportunities to enhance their educational experience, personal development, and social integration. Six workshops, a conference, and a study trip for educators will allow for the exchange of experiences and adoption of best practices, equipping educators with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to engage students in inclusive and impactful after-school learning. By including volunteers in these activities, the project also raises broader societal awareness of inclusion and equal opportunities for all. The project will culminate in a closing conference, presenting the achieved results, best practices, and experience gained through this innovative service in Serbia.
(Expected) Results:- Venue of the afterschool program renovated and equipped
- Windows and doors replaced with energy efficient ones
- Gas boiler replaced and new radiators installed
- Internal lighting, classroom and dining room furniture acquired
- 6 training methodology workshops conducted for 15 teachers, social workers
- 1 study visit organized to see firsthand the working methodologies and resuorces used by peer organizations,
- 1 two-day long expert meeting for 20 participants with lectures, workshops, professional interacation
- 1 outing for disadvantaged children to Ada swimming pool complex,
- 2 persons employed for 18 months to work with disadvantaged children.
- Volunteers included in working with disadvanteged and Roma children
- Enhanced capacities of educators, social workers dealing with disadvantaged and Roma children in creating a trusting, postive classroom atmosphere where children can make overall progress
- Educators employed for the duration of the project gain experience which will be capitalised in the future
- Volunteers included in working with vulnerable groups of children and youth will further increase awareness to the needs and hidden capacities of the target group that need to be unlocked
