Project Description:

This project strengthens the role of diverse actors in culture, creating opportunities for the integration and inclusion of varied target groups and establishing a foundation for the development of film art, cultural events, and tourism in the cross-border region. Joint activities, events, programs, and promotion in film art, both during and after the project, will elevate the role of film and its positive impact on other cultural and economic fields.

Project Target Groups:

  • Young film enthusiasts, amateurs, and professionals
  • General film audience and movie lovers
  • Cultural institutions, cultural centers, NGOs, film festival organizers, cinemas, local community representatives, and tourism professionals
  • Vulnerable and disadvantaged groups with an interest in film art
  • NGOs, public institutions, students, and media representatives from the CB region

(Expected) Results:

Jointly Created Film Program:

  • One film program featuring 8 films from each partner country’s cinematography
  • Program presented at 4 film festivals and 4 cultural centers in 8 CB region settlements

Round Tables:

  • Two round tables on film audience development and tourism enhancement at film festival destinations (60 participants total)

Education Courses:

  • Four comprehensive film courses in filmmaking, criticism, and promotion held in Subotica, Szeged, Kecskemét, and Novi Sad (60 participants)

Educational Tours for Film Students:

  • Four joint touring educational activities at film festivals (12 participants)

Bilingual Podcast:

  • One podcast promoting film festivals and tourism in the CB region

Film Education for Vulnerable Groups:

  • Two foundational film courses for disadvantaged groups in Kecskemét and Novi Sad (30 participants)

Cultural Project Development Training:

  • Two training sessions on cultural project development in Subotica and Szeged (20 participants)

Know-How Events:

  • Four events at partner festivals to share expertise

Film Art Catalogue:

  • One CB region film art catalogue printed in 400 copies

Result Outcomes:

R1: Established formal network of cultural organizations in the CB region
R2: New joint film programs introduced at partner film festivals and cinemas
R3: Trained target group members in filmmaking, film criticism, and promotion across CB region
R4: Touring educational activities as a sustainable concept at partner film festivals
R5: Bilingual podcast promoting film art and tourism in the CB region
