This project aims to leverage Hungarian experience to strengthen social cooperatives in Serbia, particularly in Kula, to foster rural development. By advancing social cooperatives and creating a network, the project will impact local employment and the labor market across the border, especially in Serbia. Adapting a successful model will promote growth by supporting local producers, improving marketing, and refining product design, which together will contribute to regional economic development. Through capacity building and service harmonization in production and marketing, the project will establish long-term cooperation between social enterprises. Kula will establish a support center for agricultural producers and social enterprises, while Bácsalmás will develop coaching practices to help vulnerable populations. The project will also reduce administrative barriers, creating a foundation for cross-border trade and a sustainable network of local producers.
