The CARE CONNECT project strengthens disaster risk prevention and climate change adaptation in the Hungary- Serbia border region. Focusing on enhanced collaboration between the Red Cross organizations of Vojvodina and Csongrad County, it establishes cross border systems for coordinated disaster responses to floods, fires, and droughts. A digital platform facilitates real-time data exchange, while volunteers are equipped with skills and tools to handle emergencies. The project involves 280 participants in workshops and eco-camps, raising climate awareness and fostering envoronmental stewardship. Long term outcomes include a network of 20 organizations and integration of results into local policies.
