Objective 1.1: Climate change adaptation, risk prevention
The project enhances urban climate resilience and livability by expanding green public spaces and applying nature-based solutions across border municipalities. Through NBS pilots and knowledge-sharing events, it improves ecosystem services, municipal capacities, and public climate awareness.

This project aims to create healthier, climate-resilient urban spaces across the border area by expanding green public spaces and integrating nature-based solutions (NBS) into municipal projects. Local governments will gain knowledge and build climate adaptation capacity to address climate-related urban issues like heat islands, flash floods, and biodiversity loss. With four NBS pilot projects and collaborative educational programs, the project revitalizes spaces, boosts ecosystem services, and promotes sustainability awareness. It offers municipalities scalable green practices for long-term urban improvement, enhancing the quality of life for residents.
