ROWLE promotes rowing as a tool for health and cross-border cooperation. Over 12 months, it will engage youth (6-17) and seniors (40+) in joint training, camps, and competitions in Hungary and Serbia. The project ensures inclusivity, gender equality, and expert-led sessions, strengthening regional partnerships and awareness of rowing’s benefits.

The ROWLE Project fosters a healthy lifestyle through rowing while strengthening cross-border cooperation between Hungary and Serbia. Supported by the Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary-Serbia Programme, the initiative unites Veslački Klub Palić (Serbia) and Kalocsai Evezős és Vízisport Egyesület (Hungary) to organize joint sporting events and training sessions.
Running from September 2024 to August 2025, the project includes:
Targeting youth (6-17 years) and seniors (40+), ROWLE promotes gender equality, inclusivity, and accessibility for all skill levels, including individuals with disabilities. It also seeks to establish long-term partnerships between rowing clubs, encourage physical activity, and raise awareness of rowing’s benefits in the region.

- Strengthened collaboration between Hungarian and Serbian rowing clubs.

- 6 joint training sessions to improve skills and team-building.
- 2 five-day rowing camps (one in Hungary, one in Serbia) for immersive training.
- 6 rowing competitions to test acquired skills and foster cross-border rivalry.
- Development of structured, tailored training programs for different age groups and skill levels.
- Training materials accessible via the project website for broader engagement.
- Purchase of essential rowing tools and equipment to improve training conditions.
- Strengthened partnerships with national rowing associations for long-term support.
- Plans to extend the project through ERASMUS+ Small Scale Partnerships and Capacity Building initiatives.
- Potential collaboration with additional rowing clubs from Osijek and Szolnok.
- Continued recruitment of new athletes, ensuring the project’s lasting impact.
