Rowing for a Healthy Lifestyle and Enhanced Cross-Border Cooperation

The overall objective of the project is to promote sport and physical activity as tools for health, particularly focusing on rowing. The project aims to highlight the benefits of rowing and motivate not only athletes but also other members of society.The target group includes the youth (aged 6-17) and seniors (over 40) both girls and boys. Through joint trainings, camps and cups the project will showcase the positive effects of rowing with the participation of Olympic Medalists and experts.

Project Description:

The ROWLE Project aims to promote a healthy lifestyle through rowing while strengthening cross-border cooperation between Hungary and Serbia. The initiative, funded by the Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary-Serbia Programme, brings together Veslački Klub Palić (Serbia) and Kalocsai Evezős és Vízisport Egyesület (Hungary) to organize joint sporting events and training programs.

Over 12 months (September 2024 – August 2025), the project will host:
Two 5-day rowing camps (one in each country)
✅ Three rowing competitions 
✅ Three rowing joint training sessions

Focusing on youth (6-17 years) and seniors (40+ years), ROWLE ensures gender equality and inclusivity, welcoming participants of all skill levels, including individuals with disabilities. The project also aims to create sustainable partnerships between rowing clubs and promote the sport regionally.
