Project Description:

DigiChildPro addresses the growing digital risks faced by children aged 11–14—such as abuse, addiction, problematic device use, and social media anxiety—by developing an inter-regional pedagogical system for digital child protection. A Community Digital Risk Profile (C-DRP) will assess risks in 260 school classes using a GDPR-compliant tool. Based on these insights, the project delivers a three-level educational model:

  1. MOOC for teachers covering four risk areas and 12 subtopics, training 350+ educators.
  2. Age Peer Mentor Program, in which trained high schoolers lead workshops for younger pupils.
  3. Digital parenting workshops and conferences for parents to better guide their children.

These elements ensure inclusive, targeted support for children, parents, and educators, with long-term integration potential into the regional education system.

(Expected) Results:

  • Establishment of a GDPR-compliant Community Digital Risk Profile (C-DRP) for 260 school classes

  • Interpretation of C-DRP results for educators across 65 schools

  • Development and accreditation of a MOOC curriculum for digital child protection

  • Certified training of 350 educators (plus 280 in the maintenance period)

  • Implementation of Age Peer Mentor Program: mentor teacher training, student mentor prep, and delivery of peer workshops to 375+ pupils

  • Digital parenting outreach: 3 conferences and 12 practical workshops

  • Bilingual educational materials (HU/SRB) for teachers and parents

  • Long-term integration of the 3-level program into local education systems

  • Creation of a sustainable cross-border professional network for child digital safety
